Working in Teams
Some of the most valuable experiences I have had working in teams include:
PD Week Team

AandE Teaching
  • Working with the number of supervisors and mentors I have had access to through teaching rounds
    • These experiences have involved negotiation, compromise and empathy, and have always resulted in positive outcomes.
  • Being a part of the committee that organised and ran a Professional Development Week for over 200 student teachers in June 2008.
    • The importance of communication among a large team was highlighted with several breakdowns in communication causing conflict and requiring effort from all participants to amend relationships, with the result a very successful event.
  • Working with my sister to plan and teach a dance class for kindergarten and Prep-aged students, and to choreograph dances for older students, with the support of and inclusion in a group of more experienced dance teachers.
    • Whilst this team was formed by choice, communication skills, along with empathy and shared goals are integral to the maintenance of the team, and the delivery of valuable experiences for students.
