I am very aware of the interconnected and complex nature of the world
in which myself and my students operate.
The interdisciplinary approach
of the VELS fits well with my own core values and beliefs which
underpin my approach to teaching, which are represented in the diagram
at left.

Maths
$ ¢ Maths makes cents to me ¢ $
|
I enjoy the challenge of maths, and try to share my sense of fun and
interest with my students to make maths come alive - no matter how lame
the pun! |
Indonesian

|
Indonesia,
and the Indonesian language has been an interest, and growing passion
of mine for a long time. I have visited Indonesia several times,
including a brief homestay experience during which I taught English at
a secondary school in Makassar, Sulawesi (see picture at left). I am
always excited to learn about, experience and share with students this
vibrant and living culture.
